Even if you’re a two-time NBA MVP, there’s not much you can do when there’s a basketball heading straight to the dome. All you can do is watch and hope it doesn’t hurt as much as you think it will.
Lauri Markkanen, of course, didn’t mean to aim that blocked shot toward Stephen Curry. It just sort of happened. You do have to commend Markkanen for his good defense, although Steph would probably say otherwise since he could have gone without the bump to the noggin.
