A trade puts everyone in a frenzy, especially the athletes potentially involved in it. Washington cornerback Kendall Fuller found out the hard way.
Kendall Fuller was the last person to know he got traded to the Chiefs
This is awkward.

When news broke of Alex Smith heading to Washington, Fuller, like most people with a twitter account, logged on to catch up on the details. Though they were initially murky, reports surfaced that a cornerback would be included in the trade alongside a third-round pick.
So when you’re a Washington cornerback, you have to suspect that your name could possibly come up. At the same time, it seems no one from the team had told Fuller about any transaction involving him. Based off that, he was sticking around Washington.
That makes complete sense, right?
It does, but based off Fuller’s second tweet, it appears that even he wasn’t completely convinced either.
But then Field Yates reported the previously unnamed cornerback happened to be Fuller. But still, no one had told him yet.
After that, Fuller went silent on Twitter, assuming someone from the Washington football team had finally informed him of the trade.
Being an athlete and finding out you got traded seldom happens, but it happens nevertheless. Still, not everyone was shocked to learn that the Washington football team had the news leak before they were even able to tell Fuller. One of those people was Fuller’s now former teammate with Washington, Niles Paul.
Fuller did tweet after he had found out from the team that he’s heading to Kansas City. At least he can laugh at himself and just enjoy the chaos that a trade brings now.
Sorry you had to find out that way, Kendall. Hope you have a more pleasant time with the Chiefs than your final exchange with Washington.
