Embiid was getting a rub down before the Sixers season opener against the Celtics on Tuesday night and decided to take a break from watching game film to watch a little Rick and Morty.
Look, before you get all stuffy and blather on about how he’s not taking things seriously consider these three things:
- Athletes like to be loose before a game, however it works for them.
- Embiid went on to score 23 points and pull down 10 board.
- Joel is an NBA All-Star, he probably knows better about how he should prepare for a game than you do.
As a fan of Rick and Morty I’m left conflicted. I love the show, but I hate the show’s fans — but I love Joel Embiid, and he’s a fan. This is a paradox I need to go deal with on my own.
