In many ways the costume is fine. Dame has the shirt, he’s got the jeans, the belt and the swagger — but I have a fundamental problem with the entire rubber mask genre. They always look creepy because of the cold, dead eyes, and this is only accentuated when the mask skirt isn’t stuffed into a shirt.
It looks like Lillard is wearing the removed face of Stone Cold Steve Austin in a ghoulish display of power and villiany. It’s the Hannibal Lector move, but with more beer.
Maybe that was the point all along.
