Comedian Michael Rapoport shared a video of this weird-ass cat hanging out in his mom’s yard. Now, I don’t know if it was staged or organic, but honestly I thought this cat was fake until it moved. Sharing it with you is my catharsis, because after seeing this cat I’m convinced it’s like the VHS tape in The Ring — you’ve got to pass it along so the cat can haunt another person.
But staring into these haunted eyes drew me to a more deeply disturbing realization: This is Gritty, the new mascot for the Philadelphia Flyers.
Sure, the cat’s not orange ... but those eyes, the blank stare, the floof. The only core difference between the cat and Gritty is that Gritty is smiling while he awaits your impending doom, while the cat is sad its about to devour your soul.
I just don’t like this cat, OK?
