WWE Survivor Series was on Sunday night and amidst rumors of possible debuts and surprises nobody saw one shock appearance coming — Enzo Amore.

WWE loves to use surprise appearances and guest spots, but there is no way Enzo’s appearance at one of the biggest pay per views of the year was planned. Amore, whose real name is Eric Arndt was fired by WWE in 2017 after he was accused of sexual assault by a woman in Phoenix who reported to local law enforcement that she was raped by Arndt in a hotel.
WWE quickly fired the superstar due to its zero tolerance policy for sexual harassment and assault. Now Arndt wrestles on the independent scene and is in the process of promoting a hip hop album under the name “nZo.”
This was likely a move to promote album sales.
Arndt’s album launched the same day as Survivor Series, meaning this was likely a publicity stunt to get people to talk about him again. Invading the event was a good way to do it, heck we’re talking about him now — but knowing WWE’s penchant for respecting the company it’s impossible to see a scenario where he’s ever brought back into the company, even if chances were slim-to-none to begin with.
WWE has not released a statement on the incident.
