This sports broadcaster just kept going while his nose was bleeding everywhere on live TV

Sports broadcaster Jo Hyun-il played through the pain during a broadcast on Korea’s SpoTV.

While discussing the NBA Jo noticed that his nose was bleeding, but instead of rushing off set or grabbing a handkerchief he decided to let it go and hope it would all work out.

It didn’t.

Before long Jo was just sitting there, blood streaming out of his nose like he’d taken a folding chair to the face and he co-host took notice — pausing the broadcast to check on him.

Here’s the thing about nosebleeds: They suck. They suck really bad, and they suck even more when they happen in public. If your nose bleeds in public there is a 100 percent chance people assume it happened because you picked it, and the frantic “oh man, the air is dry” might be true, but there’s literally nothing that can dissuade their knee-jerk reaction. You are a nose picker to them, you’ll always been a nose picker — and for at least 48 hrs there are going to be stories behind your back of “his/her nose bled like crazy everywhere,” and everyone who hears it is going to assume you picked your nose too.

I feel for Jo on a visceral level, but also admire his dedication to the job.
