The episode “Boy Meets Curl,” which aired in February of 2010, predicted that not only would USA win its first gold medal in curling, but that it would beat Sweden to claim gold. Sure, it’s more educated guess than remarkable prescient ability, but still it’s very neat.
Sweden has always been spectacular at curling, so it’s natural they would be made USA’s foils. However, The Simpsons still predicted a gold medal in curling, against Sweden -- and eight years later it happened.
