Ronda Rousey made her big appearance at WWE Elimination Chamber on Sunday night to sign her contract and get into a fight with the brass. It was awkward, and bad, and showed that Rousey has a lot of work she needs to do on the mic to be ready — but she did put Triple H through a table. So it’s not all bad.

So this happened on Sunday night.

Rousey’s appearance left fans with a lot more questions than answers. We all know she has the athletic ability to pull off being a WWE superstar, and she showed while in the UFC that she can talk smack with the best of them — but staying on script she came off as wooden and dull, with way too much dead air.
That said, when she got to just emote and be angry she was spot on — and having Stephanie McMahon be her first rivalry will be perfect to ease her in. There’s still time before an eventual appearance at Wrestlemania, and I’m confident they’ll get this all worked out.
