Nighttime NBA Twitter is the absolute best — even when it’s a regular season game with little at stake. On Monday night, the Timberwolves and Kings played, Karl-Anthony Towns went off and then this happened ...
The Kings had the best response when the Timberwolves tried to roast them
Never change, NBA Twitter.

Now the Kings didn’t take too kindly to this, and honestly they didn’t have a response to Towns — who put up 26 points and snagged 17 boards — but they did have an answer to the Timberwolves’ meme.
The turnaround time on this is impressive. It took the Kings two minutes to see the tweet, internalize it, come up with a burn, and respond. That is well within the acceptable window, and one of the reasons it was so good.
There was no response from the Timberwolves, because hitting your meme-making skills is always a blow to morale. The back-and-forth may not have continued, but the rest of Twitter still loved it.
There was also one more response from the Timberwolves, which they ultimately deleted for some reason.
Never change, NBA Twitter.
