Bjornsson’s record is for lifting without the assistance of a dead lift suit, which is how the absolute top records are done. Instead this is just a dude, with some straps and a belt — that’s it.
What’s absolutely mind-boggling about this lift is that it went up relatively easily. Like, it looks like he could have thrown another 10 kg on the bar and been okay. Which is absolutely ridiculous, considering we’re talking setting a record here. When he finally had it up Thor was just looking at the crowd and nodding, like it was nothing.
What a beast!
