It’s Rey Mysterio day in San Diego, which is an excuse to see a luchadore in a suit

6/19 — this had to happen.

Please enjoy this photo of Rey Mysterio in a suit.

Is this a suit? It’s at least suit adjacent as it looks like a vest, a letterman jacket, and a smoking jacket had a baby that was adopted by a luchadore and I’m super into it.

Rey is being honored today because it’s 6/19, and that’s also the area code for San Diego, which Mysterio Jr. (a SD native) called his finishing move. It’s all a rich professional wrestling tapestry.

I’ll just enjoy watching this large, small man squeeze himself into a suit and stand proud to get honored.
