Timberwolves poke fun at LeBron James’ free agency press release with one for Josh Okogie

This was too funny.

James Dator has been covering a wide range of sports for SB Nation for over a decade, with a special focus on the NFL.

The Timberwolves announced they’d signed their first-round draft pick Josh Okogie with a clever tip-of-the-hat to LeBron James’ seemingly endless string of epithets in the announcement he was joining the Lakers.

“All ACC honoree, Fortnite player, The Office binge watcher, and all around good guy”

It’s like Okogie wrote this himself and I am all about this. It’s today we learned that the 20th pick in the NBA Draft is just like the rest of us. To compare, here’s what the LeBron announcement looked like, so you can appreciate the similarities.

As good as the press release is, I’m still not sure it tops Anthony Tolliver’s 2010 announcement video where he spoofed LeBron’s decision.
