It’s been a weird couple of days for ESPN’s Darren Rovell, who got a little too caught up in the world of the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest on Twitter.
Darren Rovell got too deep into hot dogs and thinks Roger Federer is trolling him
What a day.

Nice.
Rovell’s tweets during the contest quickly devolved into frustration and anger at how things were being conducted at Coney Island.
I don’t know if he’s serious or not. I’m not used to Rovell being self-aware.
#Analysis
We had a bit of a controversy when it came to the record, and Rovell was on top of it.
He was really upset that the hot dog count got messed up.
It got him so hot and bothered that the next morning he was still thinking about the hot dog eating contest.
See, this is the kind of Rovell tweet I’ve come to know and despise. It’s the complete disregard for any kind of fun in order to distill it into something awful. Which leaves us with a scenario where we can’t just enjoy human dumpsters emptying grotesque quantities of food into their gullets, it’s about how messing up the count will impact the betting community.
And now, onto Roger Federer.
In recent days one of Rovell’s favorite topics has been dunking on Uniqlo for how they’ve mishandled their deal with Roger Federer, in his eyes.
Federer was spotted on Thursday wearing this shirt at Wimbledon.
Which naturally gave Rovell an existential crisis.
The internet wasn’t buying it.
