Pierre McGuire was working the Lightning vs. Blue Jackets game Monday night when the action got a little too close for comfort. Standing in the Columbus bench, a puck flew his direction and came terrifyingly close to his face.
The slow-motion replay really sells just how scary this was. I also love how his co-hosts casually play off the near-obliteration of their coworker by saying “Hey, you’re standing in the field of play, dude,” like it’s nothing.
Normally I’m all about seeing someone take a puck to the face, but not here ... not this way.
