After going 3-for-5 in Sunday’s Game 2 against the New York Yankees with a grand slam as Toronto took a 2-0 lead in the Best-of-Three series, Guerrero picked up where he left off on Tuesday night in Game 3. The Toronto slugger clobbered a two-run home run in the top of the first inning, staking the Blue Jays to an early two-run lead:
The home run gave Guerrero a homer in each of the three games of the series.
So it was probably not a surprise when in the top of the third, after Davis Schneider led off the inning with a double, the Yankees gave Guerrero the free pass to set up a potential double play.
That backfired, as after Alejandro Kirk lined out, Daulton Varsho singled, which brought Schneider home and advanced Guerrero to second. Ernie Clement was next to dig in for Toronto, and he laced a single to left fielder Cody Bellinger.
And Guerrero kept going after he rounded third, and delivered a Superman slide for the ages:

An underrated part of this play? Take note of on-deck hitter Anthony Santander:
Santander is guiding Guerrero on his slide, letting him know the throw is coming inside the line and that the Toronto slugger should stay outside as he charges to home.
