Reds Vs. Phillies, NLDS Game 3: Phillies Strike First On Orlando Cabrera Error

It's been one half-inning, and already we have to wonder if Dusty Baker made the right choice by sliding Orlando Cabrera in for Paul Janish at short. In the top of the first, the Phillies put men on the corners with two outs against Johnny Cueto. Jayson Werth then hit a routine groundball to short, but Cabrera - who aggravated an injury to his side in Game 2 - made a wild throw to first that pulled Joey Votto off the bag, and Placido Polanco scored from third to give Philadelphia the first run of the game.

It’s possible the throw had nothing to do with Cabrera’s injury. Whatever the case, it’s just another Phillies run handed over by poor Reds defense.
