Braves Vs. Giants, NLDS Game 4: Cody Ross Snaps No-Hitter, Shutout With Solo Homer

And it all goes out the window for Derek Lowe. After Madison Bumgarner kept the Braves off the board in the fifth, Lowe kicked off the sixth with a strikeout of Mike Fontenot. He then made a first-pitch mistake to Cody Ross, however, and Ross lined the ball deep to left field, just barely clearing the fence. The solo home run ended both Derek Lowe's no-hitter and his shutout, and the Braves are looking at a whole new ballgame.

Lowe got out of the inning by retiring both Bumgarner and Andres Torres, but three of the four batters in the inning worked long at bats, and Lowe's at 85 pitches through six.
