Braves Vs. Giants, NLDS Game 4: Derek Lowe Removed In Top Of Seventh

This is getting nervous again for Braves fans. Derek Lowe came out for the top of the seventh with his team and the crowd energized by Brian McCann's home run. Lowe retired the first batter he saw, but then he walked Aubrey Huff, and Buster Posey reached on a swinging bunt down the third base line on which Troy Glaus didn't have a play.

Bobby Cox came to talk things over with Lowe, and Lowe convinced Cox to leave him in. But Lowe proceeded to walk Pat Burrell on five pitches, loading the bases and forcing Cox to come get him and call on Peter Moylan in relief.

Lowe was most unhappy with his walk of Burrell, and has left his team in a fragile situation. Lowe’s performance:

6.1 innings
2 hits
2 walks
8 strikeouts
101 pitches (62 strikes)

Moylan will face Juan Uribe.
