The Braves are now down to their final three outs as the Giants' bullpen came up with a scoreless frame. Santiago Casilla got things kicked off by striking out Derrek Lee. He then allowed a base hit on the ground to Brian McCann, but got Alex Gonzalez to hit a soft liner straight to Edgar Renteria at short. Renteria dropped the ball, but was still able to throw Gonzalez out at first, as Gonzalez didn't sprint out of the box.
Braves Vs. Giants, NLDS Game 4: Santiago Casilla, Javier Lopez Combine For Scoreless Eighth
With two outs and the tying run on second, Bruce Bochy called on lefty specialist Javier Lopez to face Jason Heyward. The at bat lasted four pitches, and Lopez struck the rookie out with a fastball down and in.
Interestingly, Brooks Conrad was standing on deck when Heyward whiffed. We're off to the ninth, and it remains 3-2.
