Making his first appearance of the series, Neftali Feliz was called on to protect a 7-2 ninth inning lead. Though he struck out Derek Jeter on six pitches, he showed some wildness, and followed by walking both Curtis Granderson and Mark Teixeira. But he was able to buckle down, and after an Alex Rodriguez groundout and a Robinson Cano fly out to left, Feliz had his scoreless inning, and the Rangers had their first home playoff win in franchise history.
