Girardi: It Would Take A ‘Miracle’ For Mark Teixeira To Return From Injury

A bad night for the Yankees is only getting worse. Mark Teixeira had to leave Game 4 in the fifth inning due to a strained hamstring. How bad is it? In Joe Girardi's words:

“Barring some miracle, he won’t be with us tomorrow,” Joe Girardi said.

Teixeira’s official timetable is pending the results of his MRI, but the odds are that he’s done at least for the remainder of the ALCS, and likely for the remainder of the playoffs.
