Mark Teixeira Injury Will Sideline Him For Remainder Of Playoffs

The Yankees don't know how many more playoff games they have in the season. It could be one. It could be ten. All they know for sure is that Mark Teixeira won't be playing in any more of them.

Via Ed Price, we get word that Teixeira has a grade 2 strain of his right hamstring. It’s an injury that would keep a player out for 6-8 weeks during the regular season, which is time that the Yankees clearly don’t have right now in the playoffs.

Expect Lance Berkman to find his way into the lineup in Teixeira's place for however much longer the Yankees have.
