Nelson Cruz Doesn’t Expect Injury To Keep Him Out From ALCS Game 6

In the middle innings of ALCS Game 5, Rangers outfielder Nelson Cruz was pulled with hamstring tightness. He was replaced by David Murphy, and given that Cruz has been bothered by left hamstring problems for much of the season, there was a great amount of concern that Cruz might not be able to return the rest of the way.

Cruz has put those fears to rest. According to the outfielder, his removal was precautionary, and he expects to return to the Rangers lineup for Friday night’s Game 6.

Though Cruz may not be at 100% come gametime, few players are around this time of year, and just having his presence should offer the Rangers a big boost as they continue their march towards the World Series.
