Phillies Vs. Giants, NLCS Game 4: Ryan Madson Solid In Eighth

The Phillies got the run they needed in the top of the eighth, and they got the inning they needed in the bottom of it.

Ryan Madson struck out Nate Schierholtz to lead off. Andres Torres followed with a base hit into right field, giving the Giants a baserunner, but Torres attempted a steal during the next at bat and was gunned down by a perfect throw by Carlos Ruiz to second base.

All of a sudden, there were two down and none on, and Edgar Renteria struck out to end the frame. We're off to the ninth, and Brian Wilson will pitch for the Giants.
