World Series Game 3, Giants Vs. Rangers: Kelly Clarkson, Nolan Ryan Highlight Pregame Festivities

Saturday evening's Game 3 is the first home World Series game in Texas Rangers franchise history, and they plan to usher in the occasion with some big names showing up during the pregame festivities.

First, team president and Rangers hero Nolan Ryan will throw out the ceremonial first pitch to former Rangers great Ivan Rodriguez. Ryan has been a constant presence at Rangers games throughout the playoffs and is a very visible figure, but getting him on the mound in front of everybody should give the crowd a nice charge.

Next, the national anthem will be performed by the Fort Worth, Texas-born, Grammy Award-winning Kelly Clarkson. And she won’t be the only big-time performer to make an appearance, as God Bless America will be performed by Martha Plimpton.

And finally, Rangers team Hall of Famer Rusty Greer will help deliver the first game ball to the mound just prior to first pitch. It’s a pretty heavy and popular lineup that ought to be able to get the crowd worked into a frenzy.
