Rangers Vs. Rays, ALDS Game 3: Colby Lewis Escapes Fourth-Inning Jam

For the Rays, the word of the inning is "almost". Behind 1-0, the Rays started with two quick outs before Matt Joyce pulled a single to right and Dan Johnson drew a walk. That brought Carlos Pena to the plate, and Pena got ahead 3-0 before taking a fastball for a strike and yanking another fastball deep into the right field corner. Nelson Cruz, however, was able to camp under it on the track for the final out, and the Rays go to the bottom half of the fourth still trailing after coming feet away from taking the lead.

Colby Lewis is at 59 pitches, with 37 strikes.
