Carlos Pena had already delivered in the eighth to tie the game up, but the Rays didn't stop there. The Rangers called on closer Neftali Feliz with two out and Pena on first, and Feliz started off by walking Jason Bartlett on six pitches. The next batter - John Jaso - subsequently fell behind 0-2 before getting a slider over the middle and lining it into center field for a knock. Pena came around to score from second, and though Feliz retired Ben Zobrist to end the inning, the Rays now have their first lead of the game.
