So much for the Twins' pulse. After scoring a run and loading the bases with one out in the eighth, the Twins put themselves in position to make this a ballgame. Instead, Jason Kubel popped out against Boone Logan, and Delmon Young flew out against David Robertson.

No additional runs scored, and now it’ll be at least 6-1 headed into the ninth. That’ll do it, I wager.
