Jesse Crain Signs Three-Year Contract With White Sox

Crain is a 29-year-old righty reliever who was once among the game’s better relief prospects. He works primarily off of a mid-90s fastball and a mid-80s slider, and last season posted a 3.04 ERA over 68 innings. His 2010 strikeout rate was the best of his career, which is an encouraging sign, and the White Sox will look for him to remain effective in the later innings for a good long time.
