Bronson Arroyo Signs Three-Year Contract Extension With Reds Worth $35 Million
The 33-year-old Arroyo threw 215.2 innings over 33 starts last year with the Reds, posting a 3.88 ERA that was up just a tick from 2009’s 3.84. While Arroyo isn’t known for his strikeouts or pinpoint command, he throws a broad array of pitches to keep batters off balance, and he excels at soaking up a lot of innings. Arroyo has reached or exceeded the 200-inning mark for six consecutive seasons.
