Lance Berkman Signs Contract With Cardinals For $8 Million, One Year

The contract will be worth $8 million, and Berkman will play left field, with Holliday sliding over to right. Berkman hasn’t been a regular in the outfield since 2004, and he is not known for his range or his glove, but the Cardinals got him in an effort to boost their offensive productivity.
