Adrian Beltre Shut Down By Rangers With Calf Strain
It’s only a Grade 1 strain - the lowest grade of all strains - so it isn’t too big of a problem. However, Beltre’s been limited in camp from the beginning, and since the strain hasn’t shown improvement over the past several days, the Rangers are going to shut him down completely for a little while to give him a chance to heal. It’s expected that he’ll take the weekend off, resume “light baseball workouts” early next week, and then look to get into some games in 10-14 days.
