Kendrys Morales done for the year. Will have a second surgery.For some reason, this seems like one of the worst baseball stories in recent memory. Morales didn’t attempt an Ozzie Smith-style back flip. He didn’t roundhouse kick a water cooler after getting called out on strikes. He just ... jumped. He was happy. His teammates were happy. And he jumped. It was already a terrible story when he missed the rest of 2010. But to cost him 2011 too, in the prime of his career, right after he had his breakout season? Words fail.
The surgery will clean up scar tissue and bone cysts, and the recovery time is usually six months.
