It took a lot longer than I guessed it would, but ESPN.com has finally found a permanent SweetSpot blogger ... and I’m thrilled to report that it’s my old colleague and friend, David Schoenfield.

↵When I went to work for Starwave and ESPNetSportsZone, almost exactly 15 years ago, Dave was already there and might have been the only editor on the staff who had any idea what I was doing (or trying to do). Later, he ran the baseball page and must have been my biggest supporter in the entire organization. I have no idea how many times had had to cover my ass, but I’m sure he’s got some good stories.
