Tom Kim is a PGA Tour winner once again.

Tom Kim recorded his first PGA Tour win in over a thousand days

Sunday saw Kim finally cash in, he had been playing very well recently, with a win at the Genesis Scottish Open. Min Woo Lee finished solo second two strokes behind him.
The victory marked Kim’s fourth on the PGA Tour and it came in his 111th start. While he is still just 24 years old this was a rather big story because he had gone over 1,000 days since last winning on Tour, something that speaks to the incredible start he had very early on in his career.
There is something significant to Kim’s fourth win at this point in his life. In reaching four wins on Tour before the age of 25 he joins an elite list of non-Americans who have done so: Rory McIlroy, Sergio Garcia, and Hideki Matsuyama.
Interestingly, Kim’s last victory before Sunday came at the 2023 Shriners Children’s Open which was literally 1,001 days before this, so the mark of a thousand days was just recently hit. Sometimes that’s the way it goes.
As noted Kim has been on a heater as of late. This was his third top 10 in 17 starts this season, and he has positioned him well for another one this week at the Open Championship.
