A superb pitching performance allowed the Detroit Tigers to take the first game of their American League Championship Series against the Boston Red Sox. The two teams have announced their lineups for Sunday's Game 2.
ALCS 2013, Tigers vs. Red Sox: Game 2 starting lineups
Both teams will make changes to their starting lineups for Game 2 of the ALCS.

After nearly being no-hit in Game 1 by Anibal Sanchez and the Detroit bullpen, the Red Sox are making some changes to their lineup. Most notably, first baseman Mike Napoli is not starting. Instead, Mike Carp will replace him at first. Napoli has been struggling throughout the playoffs after being one of baseball's best hitters in September. He has gone 2-of-16 in five playoff games.

Daniel Nava is also moving to the bench with Jonny Gomes taking his spot in left field. Nava had been the only Boston player to collect a hit in Game 1, but typically struggles against Tigers' starter Max Scherzer. Jarrod Saltalamacchia is back behind the dish after David Ross caught Jon Lester on Saturday.
Detroit has also made some changes, moving Jhonny Peralta to shortstop and having Don Kelly play left field. Peralta manned left field during Game 1 with Jose Iglesias at short, driving in the only run of the game.
