Dodgers vs. Cardinals, 2013 NLCS Game 6: Time, TV schedule, starting pitchers and more

The Cardinals can seal a trip to the World Series with a victory on Friday night over the Dodgers.

The St. Louis Cardinals will be gunning for the pennant when they lock horns with the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 6 of the NLCS on Friday night at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals, who lead the series 3-2, have tapped Michael Wacha for the outing, while the Dodgers will turn to their ace, Clayton Kershaw, while fighting for their playoff lives. Coverage of the game begins at 8:30 p.m. ET on TBS.

Wacha pitched brilliantly in his Game 2 start, going 6⅔ innings and allowing just five hits and one walk—an intentional pass. He has only given up one run during this postseason, a home run in his start against the Pittsburgh Pirates during the NLDS. The 22-year-old rookie is a strikeout artist with blow-away stuff, with 17 strikeouts in 14 playoff innings.

Kershaw also pitched very well in Game 2, but was done in by the Dodgers’ silent offense. The southpaw needed just 72 pitches to navigate six innings, sprinkling in two hits, a walk, and one unearned run with five strikeouts. Though he has allowed four runs total this postseason, Kershaw is only responsible for one of them, and he has racked up 23 strikeouts in 19 innings.

First pitch is scheduled for 8:37 p.m. ET.
