It doesn't get a whole lot more dominant than Cleveland Indians starter Danny Salazar in the first inning against the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL Wild Card game on Wednesday.
Danny Salazar blows away James Loney
David DeJesus hit the ball fairly well in lining out for the first out of the inning, but Salazar came back from down 2-0 to strike out Wil Myers on five pitches for out No. 2. The rookie hurler saved his best work for James Loney, who went down on three pitches, including a 100-MPH fastball for strike three.
Loney is no slouch; the 29-year-old first baseman hit .351/.404/.486 on the road this season.
