MLB manager roundup: Mariners, Tigers, Nationals
All three teams have continued the interview process for their new managers with a number of interesting candidates.

The Seattle Mariners are interviewing Athletics bench coach Chip Hale on Wednesday for their vacant managerial position, reports Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.
Hale has been a major league coach since 2006, when he was promoted from a minor league manager with the Diamondbacks. He was then hired as third base coach of the Mets in 2009, where he became a top candidate to replace Jerry Manuel as manager after the 2010 season. Current Mets manager Terry Collins beat him out for the job, however.
Hale signed on as bench coach with Oakland for the 2012 season and has remained in that position since.
Lloyd McClendon a candidate for two teams
Current Tigers' hitting coach Lloyd McClendon is likely to be considered as manager in Detroit, reports Jon Morosi of Fox Sports. The Mariners are also expected to have interest in McClendon.
McClendon has been with the Tigers since Jim Leyland was first rehired as manager. He served first as a bullpen coach, but was promoted to hitting coach for the 2007 season and has also acted as part-time bench coach before Gene Lamont was hired to the position.
In seven years as a hitting coach, McClendon has had four batting champions and has helped lead one of the most potent lineups in the MLB.
McClendon had been considered by the Mariners the last time the team had an opening at manager, but Seattle went with Eric Wedge instead. He also interviewed with the Marlins when they fired Ozzie Guillen after the 2012 season.
Nationals interview DeMarlo Hale
The Washington Nationals interviewed Blue Jays bench coach DeMarlo Hale for their manager job recently, reports the Washington Post.
The Nationals have been tight-lipped on their manager search after Davey Johnson retired, though Diamondbacks third base coach Matt Williams is rumored to be the top choice. Randy Knorr, Trent Jewett and Brad Ausmus are the only other names known to have interviewed.
Hale worked as a minor league manager for the Red Sox from 1993-1999, earning many accolades. He then moved to a similar position with the Rangers for two seasons before being promoted to the club's first base coach job. Hale went back to Boston as a third base coach for 2006 and has since been bench coach for the Red Sox and Blue Jays with a stop as third base coach for the Orioles in-between.
Hale had been one of the top candidates to fill a vacant managerial position in Toronto following the 2010 season, but lost the job to John Farrell.
