The Cardinals got on the board first in Game 2 of the World Series on Yadier Molina's RBI groundout in the top of the fourth inning.
Cardinals take 1-0 lead on Matt Holliday’s triple
Matt Holliday doesn’t hit triples often, but his three-bagger in the fourth inning of Game 2 gave the Cardinals a rare lead in a World Series game against the Red Sox.

Molina's chopper, which went just over the head of Red Sox starter John Lackey, plated Matt Holliday, who led off the inning with a triple. It was Holliday's firs postseason three-bagger in his career, and only his eighth since he stopped playing his home games in the triple-friendly environment of Coors Field after the 2008 season.
The lead is the Cardinals’ first in their last six World Series games against the Red Sox, dating back to 2004.
