Baltimore Orioles executive vice president Dan Duquette says the team has not had contact with any of their nine upcoming free agents, reports Dan Connolly of the Baltimore Sun.

The team has nine players who will be free agents in the offseason: Alexi Casilla, Scott Feldman, Jason Hammel, Nate McLouth, Michael Morse, Brian Roberts, Francisco Rodriguez, Chris Snyder and Tsuyoshi Wada.
Both Feldman and Hammel spent significant time in the Orioles starting rotation in 2013. McClouth started in left field while Roberts started at second base when healthy. Rodriguez and Morse were both disappointing trade acquisitions.
The Orioles have just $45 million under contract in 2014 with 11 players, including Chris Davis and Matt Wieters set to work out new deals in arbitration. The only player signed long-term is center fielder Adam Jones, giving Baltimore plenty of flexibility moving forward.
Duquette also says the team has not yet talked about any trades.
“We haven’t had many discussions in the trade market,” Duquette told the Sun. “So far, we are in the preliminary discussion in that phase of the market.”
The Orioles have five days from the end of the World Series to have exclusive negotiating rights with their own free agents.
