Pirates vs. Cardinals: Lineups for Game 2

The Pirates have replaced Clint Barmes at shortstop with Jordy Mercer, while the Cardinals are employing the same batting order.

The St. Louis Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates have announced their starting lineups for Game 2 of the NLDS.

The Pirates have decided to start Jordy Mercer at shortstop and have him hit No. 8, replacing Clint Barmes. Barmes went 0-for-2 and was charged with an error during the Pirates 9-1 loss in Game 1. Gerrit Cole will take the mound for the Pirates.

Pittsburgh’s offical Twitter account brings us the Pirates starting nine:

The Cardinals will use the exact same lineup that scored seven runs against the Pirates during the third inning of Thursday's game, with Lance Lynn starting at pitcher. The team's official Twitter account brings us the Cardinals batting order.

Game 2 of the NLDS begins at 1:07 p.m. ET, with coverage on MLB Network
