Tampa Bay Rays outfielder Wil Myers left in the eighth inning of Game 3 of the American League Division Series against the Boston Red Sox with cramping in both legs, according to Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times.

Myers appeared to cramp up on a swing that resulted in a foul ball in the bottom of the seventh against Red Sox reliever Junichi Tazawa. Myers eventually struck out to end the inning.
After returning to the dugout, Myers tried to take the field but was promptly removed from the game to receive IV fluids, per Topkin.
He was replaced right field by Matt Joyce, the starting designated hitter. As a result, the Rays will no longer have the use of the DH, either forcing the pitcher to bat or be replaced by a pinch-hitter.
Myers, who was acquired by the Rays from the Kansas City Royals in a trade involving starting pitcher James Shields, was one of the team's better offensive players after being promoted from Triple-A in June. He finished his rookie season with a .293/.354/.478 line and 13 home runs in 373 plate appearances.
The Red Sox have held Myers hitless in the ALDS. He is 0-for-12 with four strikeouts.
