Carl Crawford’s home run gives Dodgers early lead

Carl Crawford got the Los Angeles Dodgers on the board early in Game 3 of the National League Division Series by taking Atlanta Braves starter Freddy Garcia deep.

Crawford got an 80-mph splitter on the fifth pitch of the Dodgers’ first at-bat of the game and pummeled it over the right field wall.

Hanley Ramirez followed with a single and a stolen base, but Garcia escaped with no further damage.

The homer was Crawford’s second this postseason and fifth of his playoff career.
