The Athletics have jumped out to a 1-0 lead over the Tigers early in Game 4, and appear to have Detroit right-hander Doug Fister on the ropes a bit.
A’s vs. Tigers ALDS Game 4 score update: Oakland takes early 1-0 lead
The A’s have jumped out to an early lead thanks to a leadoff triple from Coco Crisp.

Oakland wasted no time giving young starter Dan Straily some breathing room. Leadoff hitter Coco Crisp drove the second pitch from Fister into the left-center gap and sped his way all the way to third base:
After a hard-hit line drive from Josh Donaldson found Torii Hunter's glove in right for the first out, shortstop Jed Lowrie came through with a single through the left side to score the game's first run. Fister got out of the inning without any further damage, but the A's threatened again in the second and look to have his number.
Straily is rolling early for the A's. The 24-year-old right-hander has three strikeouts through his first two frames, the only blemish on his line coming in the form of a Prince Fielder hit-by-pitch to start the second (that one might argue was leaned into).
Straily has faced the minimum through two, getting Jhonny Peralta to ground into a 5-4-3 double play to end the bottom half of the second.
