The Tigers and A's have played to a 3-3 draw through six innings of Game 4. Oakland jumped out to a 3-0 lead and looked to keep it there early, but Detroit finally managed to get to right-hander Dan Straily in the fifth.

Oakland shortstop Jed Lowrie has done all the damage on offense for his club. The switch-hitting infielder drove in the first run of the game on a single to left in the first, then extended the lead with a two-run homer in the fifth:
Straily got through the first four innings without surrendering a hit to the Tigers, but couldn't keep them off the bases (or the scoreboard) in the fifth. A bloop single from Prince Fielder and a hard grounder to right from Victor Martinez set the table for Jhonny Peralta, who walloped a 2-2 pitch over the wall, just out of reach of Yoenis Cespedes in left:
Straily immediately settled back down after the long ball, and now has eight strikeouts and no walks through six. He's at just 76 pitches, so he should be able to come out for at least another inning. Doug Fister, on the other hand, is at 103 pitches and is likely to hand things over to Max Scherzer for the seventh.
