Kip Wells announces retirement, seeks front office position
Wells first broke into the majors in 1999 and has spent parts of 12 seasons in the MLB.

Over parts of 12 major league seasons, Wells made 296 appearances, including 219 starts. He finishes his career with a 4.71 ERA and 1.51 WHIP. He struck out 6.5 batters per nine innings while walking 4.3. Wells led the league in losses twice, walks once and wild pitches once.
Though his playing days are officially over, Wells hopes to remain in baseball and is seeking to find a front office position, according to his agent (via Crasnick).
