The Detroit Tigers have an interest in signing Brian Wilson to help round out the team's bullpen, reports Jon Morosi of Fox Sports.

Expected to be one of the worst bullpens in the MLB at the outset of 2013, the Tigers’ relief corps combined for a 4.01 ERA on the year, seventh worst in the majors. Their 1.34 WHIP was the eighth worst number in the MLB.

Wilson signed with the Dodgers in 2013 after recovering from the second Tommy John surgery of his career. He pitched extremely well over 18 games, allowing just one run on eight hits over 13⅔ innings. He struck out 13 batters while walking just four. He did not allow a run over six postseason innings.
Before his time with the Dodgers, Wilson was the San Francisco Giants' closer from 2008-11 before blowing out his elbow at the beginning of 2012. He collected 163 saves while posting a 3.00 ERA over those four years.
The Tigers are also rumored to have interest in Joe Nathan, who has been with the Rangers the past two seasons and has been a closer since 2004 for Texas and Minnesota.
Signing either player could go a long way toward solidifying the bullpen in Detroit. With continued success from Joaquin Benoit and Drew Smyly along with a full season from Bruce Rondon, one or two more bullpen pieces could make relief pitching a strength for the Tigers.
