The Chicago Cubs will officially interview Boston Red Sox bench coach Torey Lovullo for their vacant managerial position sometime this week, reports Ken Rosenthal of Fox Sports.
Cubs will interview Torey Lovullo for manager job, per report
With the World Series finished, the Red Sox bench coach is officially available for interviews with other teams.

Lovullo has been rumored as a possible candidate for the Cubs the past two weeks as their search has shown no signs of ending, despite numerous interviews and second interviews. The team has reportedly been waiting for the chance to interview Lovullo before making any decisions and he could become the favorite if a meeting with team officials goes well.
Cubs president of baseball operations Theo Epstein has said that he would like a new manager in place by the Nov. 11 general manager meetings. That gives the team just over a week to hire someone to replace Dale Sveum, who was fired following the 2013 campaign.
